New Providers at Western Wisconsin Health
Western Wisconsin Health is pleased to announce that we have several new providers joining our healthcare team. In order to meet the needs of the community, we have five new providers that have joined the team and several more starting with us by the end of the summer.
On January 6, 2017, Dr. Devon Marie Allen joined the team as an Internal Medicine Physician. Dr. Allen attended medical school at the University of Minnesota, Duluth MN. She completed her Internal Medicine Residency at Michigan State University in Kalamazoo, MI. Dr. Allen takes a special interest in internal medicine and primary care. As a former social worker, she is passionate about helping people. “I truly do see the doctor/patient relationship as a team,” said Dr. Allen. “I am not in charge; I am part of the team centered around you.”
On January 12, 2017, Dr. Clemma J. Nash returned to the Roberts Medical Clinic as a Functional Medicine Physician. Dr. Nash completed her medical education at the Medical College of Wisconsin and is Board Certified in Family Medicine. She has obtained board certification in both anti-aging, regenerative medicine and integrative, holistic medicine. Additionally, she completed a fellowship in metabolic nutritional medicine, as well as pursuing education through the Institute of Functional Medicine. Dr. Nash is passionate about individualized health care, focusing on an integrative nutritional approach. She uses traditional medical interventions, if needed, but focuses on approaches that support the innate healing capacity within each of us. “I am excited to return to Western Wisconsin Health to offer functional medicine services to the community,” said Clemma Nash, MD
Starting on January 16, 2017, Dr. Michael Douglas joined the team as a Family Practice Physician. Dr. Douglas attended medical school at Quillen College of Medicine at East Tennessee State University in Johnson City, TN. He also completed a Master of Healthcare Administration at University of St. Thomas, Minneapolis, MN. Dr. Douglas takes a special interest in primary care and geriatrics. “I want to have a conversation with my patients and desire their input in creating a culture of equality in the physician-patient relationship,” said Dr. Douglas when describing his style of practice.
Also on January 16, Stephanie Waterman, FNP, joined the team as a Family Practice Nurse Practitioner. Stephanie graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a Master’s degree in Nursing. She will be practicing at the Roberts location. She takes a special interest in women’s health, family practice, and pediatrics. “I am very excited to be providing care for the local communities,” said Stephanie. “I look forward to working as a team to create a health plan that truly works for you.”
On January 30, 2017, Dr. Shelley R. Stanton, a Psychiatrist, will join the psychiatry and behavioral health team. Dr. Stanton received her medical degree from Mayo Medical School in Rochester, MN. She completed her residency in psychiatry at Mayo School of Medicine in Rochester, MN. She is board certified in psychiatry, geriatric psychiatry, and psychosomatic medicine. She specialized in the diagnosis and treatment of complex psychiatric and neuropsychiatric conditions, especially those with comorbid medical conditions. She is also experienced in treating patients with mood disorders, severe and persistent mental illnesses, and patients with dual diagnoses of chemical dependency and mental illness. Her practice is confined to adults over the age of 18 years and welcomes elderly patients into her practice.
Later this spring, Dr. Matthew Beeson, a Family Practice Physician will be joining our team. Dr. Beeson takes a special interest in geriatrics, palliative care and end of life. Also, later this summer we have Dr. Sarah Aluning, Pediatrician and Dr. Ashwathy Pillai, Internal Medicine Provider joining our team.
We will also be expanding our clinic hours. Beginning February 6, 2017 we will be open Monday through Thursday from 7:00 am – 7:00 pm and Friday from 7:00 am – 5:00 pm. Our Saturday hours will remain the same from 8:00 am – 2:00 pm.
