New Providers at WW Health
MAY 2018 – Western Wisconsin Health is pleased to announce that we have several new providers that have joined our healthcare team.
On April 9, 2018, Kate Jones joined the team as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Kate Jones was awarded a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Nebraska. She also completed work for an Educational Specialist certificate from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Recently, she earned a certificate in the “Mental Health and the Older Adult” series from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Division of Continuing Studies. Kate has 21 years of experience working as a teacher within school districts, as a gifted specialist, and in leadership positions. She has worked with veterans, caregivers, couples, and individuals with anxiety, depression, life adjustment and health issues, and relationship concerns.
On May 7, 2018, we had three new providers join the team. Karli Rae Kerrschneider joined the team as a Certified Nurse Midwife. Karli Rae earned her Master’s degree in Nurse-Midwifery from Frontier Nursing University in Hyden, Kentucky. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Truman State University in Kirksville, Missouri. Karli Rae is also fluent in Spanish. She takes a special interest in adolescent health education, breastfeeding and lactation support, and pregnancy after miscarriage or infant loss. She is passionate about providing care for women across their whole lifespan, not just during pregnancy. “Being with women and families during their childbearing years and throughout the lifespan is an immense privilege,” said Karli Rae. “I am so thankful to be welcomed into this role and excited to serve this community.”
Krista Cleary also joined the team as a Certified Nurse Midwife. Krista earned her Master’s degree in Nurse-Midwifery from Frontier Nursing University. Her undergraduate degree is a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls. She takes a special interest in providing care during pregnancy, labor, birth and postpartum, as well as routine reproductive health and contraception. Krista previously worked at WW Health as a Registered Nurse. “I love working in an environment where I can get to know patients individually,” said Krista about her new role.
Ben Wunrow joined WW Health as a Physical Therapist. Ben received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Concordia University in Saint Paul, Minnesota. He also obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from the University of Minnesota in the Twin Cities. Ben enjoys seeing all types of patients and conditions, while taking a special interest in general orthopedics, sports medicine, post-operative care, and chronic pain. “Whether it’s recovering from elective surgery or managing your chronic pain, my role is to provide guidance and motivation throughout the rehabilitation process to help you achieve your goals,” said Ben when describing his style of care.
On May 21, 2018, Ben Danovsky also joined the team as a Physical Therapist. Ben received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy, as well as his Bachelor’s in Exercise and Sport Science, from the University of Wisconsin La Crosse. He enjoys working with all patients, from post-surgical to neurological. He takes a special interest in general orthopedics, concussions/TBI’s, vestibular rehab, and sports medicine. “There is nothing more rewarding than seeing those I work with return to doing the things they love,” said Ben. “Injuries are just speed bumps, not road blocks.”
